The Instructor
A former top-ten instructor at Arthur Murray with 16 years of teaching experience, Scott believes anyone can dance. His philosophy centers on the social elements of partner dancing — connection, confidence, and joy — rather than rigid choreography.
Seven of those years were spent in Steamboat Springs, where Scott took each person's natural abilities and enhanced them to make them the best dancer they could be. Whether teaching wedding couples, running school programs, leading therapeutic sessions in memory care, or choreographing performances, his gift is helping people discover the dancer within. Now he's bringing that transformative approach to West Seattle.

Developed and led partner dance curricula for schools in the Steamboat Springs area, bringing confidence, discipline, and the joy of movement to young students.
Created therapeutic dance programs for memory care residents in Steamboat Springs, using music and gentle movement to spark joy and support cognitive well-being.

"Awesome instructor! Very good at what he does. I am a complete beginner and Scott is very welcoming and encouraging. The entire community at Goodhart's is very open to new dancers and excited to help. Highly recommend!"
Tyler T.
Beginner
"My wife and I have taken a wide variety of dance lessons from Scott over the past four years. He is an amazing instructor and runs a great little dance studio. In private lessons he has the uncanny ability to hone in on the source of your problems and fix it with small changes to your movements. If you have always wanted to social dance, he will open up a whole new world to you."

Swing, Latin & Ballroom
"We started on a fluke around Valentine's Day almost 4 years ago. I never thought my husband would want to continue, but Scott made it so fun, approachable and relatable to sports, skiing, and life that it became a welcome challenge in addition to being a built in date night! The social dance community is so welcoming and non-threatening too!"
